How it works

How a project runs

The same five stages on every project. No exceptions. The discipline upfront is what makes the delivery predictable.

01

Brief

You tell us what you need. We listen, ask the right questions, and give you an honest view of what is realistic, what is not, and what it will cost.

02

Scope

A fixed-price proposal covering every phase. No ambiguous hourly estimates. No scope-creep invoices. You know the total before we start.

03

Design

High-fidelity Figma mockups — desktop and mobile — reviewed and signed off before a single line of code is written.

04

Build

Next.js, TypeScript, your preferred CMS. Staging environment throughout. Automated deployments. Weekly progress updates.

05

Launch

SEO-ready handover with redirects, sitemaps, and performance benchmarks. Staff training included. Ongoing support contracts available.

Why us

Why clients choose us

There are many developers in Tanzania. Here is what is different about working with Sakurahost.

Based in Dar es Salaam

Same time zone. Same networks. We test on Vodacom 3G, not Google Lighthouse in a London data centre. Your project manager is on WhatsApp.

Fixed-price projects

We scope thoroughly upfront so we can quote a fixed price. What we quote is what you pay — no surprises at handover.

You own everything

Source code, documentation, infrastructure credentials — all yours at completion. No platform lock-in, no ongoing licence fees to us.

Enterprise-grade stack

Next.js 15, TypeScript, PostgreSQL. The same tools used by the world's largest banks and media companies. Over-engineered for a brochure site — which is the point.

Local payment knowledge

M-Pesa, Tigo, Selcom, CRDB, Airtel Money, GePG. We have integrated every major Tanzanian payment rail into production applications.

Procurement-ready

BRELA certificate, TIN, capability statement, references, and milestone-based payment schedules. We work within your institution's procurement process.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does a website cost?

Institutional and corporate websites range from TZS 5 million to TZS 25 million depending on scope. SME websites with fewer pages and no custom functionality are lower — see our website design packages. Web applications and mobile apps are quoted individually. We provide a fixed-price proposal after a brief discovery call.

How long does a project take?

A standard institutional website takes 8–12 weeks. Web applications with custom logic run 12–20 weeks. Mobile apps 14–24 weeks depending on complexity. We do not start development until design is approved — this is the biggest driver of timeline overruns and we eliminate it upfront.

Do you work with brand guidelines?

Yes — we build to your brand book, not ours. If you are rebranding simultaneously, we can work alongside your brand agency and receive assets at agreed milestones.

Can you integrate with our existing systems?

Yes. We have integrated with banking cores, CRMs, ERPs, LDAP directories, SMS gateways, payment providers (local and international), and government systems including GePG. If it has an API, we can connect to it.

Do you provide ongoing support after launch?

Yes. We offer SLA-backed maintenance contracts covering security patches, CMS updates, uptime monitoring, and content support. Many institutional clients retain us monthly rather than managing an internal web team.
