Domain & Microsoft 365 pricing updated
.com domains are now TZS 34,440/year (reflecting current exchange rates). All global TLDs (.net, .org, .io, .africa, .dev, and more) have been repriced at the 2,800 TZS/USD bank rate. Microsoft 365 plans have been repriced against current Microsoft USD rates with a 2,950 TZS/USD rate — Basic at TZS 19,100/user/month through to Business Premium at TZS 66,500/user/month.

Customers can now register and log in to billing.sakurahost.co.tz using their Google account. No need to create a separate password — simply click "Continue with Google" on the login or registration page.
Microsoft 365 — Apps for Business added
We now offer four Microsoft 365 plans: Basic (TZS 19,100), Apps for Business (TZS 35,400), Standard (TZS 38,200), and Business Premium (TZS 66,500). All plans are per-user/month billed annually. None of the plans include Microsoft Teams — a cost-saving option for businesses that use alternative communication tools.

All Sakura SMS customer data has been migrated from our previous database host to a dedicated Hetzner server in Germany with daily backups, 7-day binlog retention, and dedicated firewall rules. Response times for the platform improved by an average of 40ms.
Alpha server now hosts all new cPanel accounts
New web hosting accounts are now provisioned on our Alpha server (38.242.207.141) running cPanel/WHM. Default nameservers for all new domain registrations have been updated to ns-tz1.sakurahost.co.tz through ns-tz4.sakurahost.co.tz — all resolving to Alpha for improved performance across East Africa.
SakuraPay — local payment gateway launched
SakuraPay is now live at pay.sakuragroup.co.tz. Accept payments via M-Pesa, Airtel/Mixx by Yas, Selcom/TTCL, CRDB mobile banking, and CRDB bank transfer. White-label checkout pages with your business branding. Integrated with WHMCS billing for automatic invoice reconciliation.
Microsoft 365 hosting now available
Sakurahost is now an authorised Microsoft 365 reseller in Tanzania. All plans are provisioned directly on Microsoft's global infrastructure and managed through our billing portal. Setup and migration support included. Payments accepted in TZS via M-Pesa and bank transfer.

We've restructured our shared hosting lineup with four plans: Startup (entry-level), Swala, Sungura, and Faru. Prices have been updated to reflect current infrastructure costs. All existing customers retain their current plan pricing until renewal.

We've replaced Google reCAPTCHA with Cloudflare Turnstile across our billing portal, contact forms, and Sakura SMS registration. Turnstile is privacy-preserving — it does not track users or set third-party cookies — and provides a frictionless experience for legitimate customers.
